About Fish Stocking Alert
Fish Stocking Alert is a free tool that pulls real-time fish stocking data directly from state fish and wildlife agencies and makes it easy to see what was just planted, where, and when. The goal is simple: help anglers spend less time hunting through government websites and more time on the water. California is live now, with Pennsylvania and New York in development.
The site is built and maintained by an independent developer who is also an angler. There is no company behind it, no investor pitch, and no team page with stock photos. It started as a personal frustration — the official CDFW stocking data exists and is accurate, but it is not built for trip planning. This site is. The data is the same; the presentation is built around how anglers actually use it: filtering by county and species, seeing stocking history at a glance, checking moon phase and pressure before making the drive.
Email alerts are coming soon. When they launch, you will be able to save your favorite waters and get notified the moment they are stocked — no refresh required, no account needed beyond an email address. If you have feedback, a bug to report, or a suggestion for a state to add next, reach out at [email protected].
